Capcom has released a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, introducing the new Boosted Actions mechanics for the Long Sword.
Using Boost with this weapon enables slashing to build the Spirit Gauge, enhance combos and coutners, and greater offset and stagger potential.
The Boost Bracer becomes available as hunters progress into Master Rank. Players build its energy by maintaining their attacks against monsters. Once enough energy is available, Boost can be activated through a special Boost Driver attack or other actions specific to individual weapons.
Activating Boost expands each weapon’s available moves, including new combos and strengthened attacks. The exact mechanics differ depending on the equipped weapon, giving each of the 14 types its own set of Boosted Actions.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Switch 2 version will be released on December 4, 2026.
