CubeGame has announced that the release date for Sword and Fairy 4 Remake will be revealed on December 5, 2026, during an in-person carnival event in Anhui Province, China. The publisher will also share a new trailer for the upcoming turn-based RPG.
The event, titled “Night of Seeking Immortals,” will take place in Hefei and feature new gameplay footage, pricing information, music, and details about physical editions. The carnival also marks the 19th anniversary of the original Sword and Fairy 4. Anhui Province holds significance for the announcement, as it is home to CubeGame’s operations and serves as the starting location for the game’s story.
Developed by UP Software, Sword and Fairy 4 Remake is a full remake of the 2007 Chinese RPG, rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5. The story follows Yun Tianhe and his companions as they search for immortals and investigate a mystery connected to his past. The remake retains the original’s turn-based combat system while updating its visuals and presentation.
Sword and Fairy 4 Remake is planned for PC and consoles, although specific console platforms have not been confirmed. The December event will provide the game’s release date alongside further details about its upcoming launch.
