Two worlds are heading for disaster, and saving them will take more than a sharp sword and a few well-timed attacks.

Tales of Eternia Remastered brings Bandai Namco’s classic RPG adventure back with updated presentation and a collection of modern conveniences, giving players another chance to join Reid Hershel and his companions on a journey across the divided realms of Inferia and Celestia.

The remaster is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, priced at £24.99 for the Standard Edition or £44.99 for the Deluxe Edition.

Two Worlds, One Catastrophic Collision

The adventure begins in the remote village of Rasheans, where Reid and his childhood friend Farah encounter Meredy, a mysterious girl whose arrival sets them on an unexpected path. As the group investigates her origins, they uncover the threat of the Great Fall, a cataclysm that could bring Inferia and Celestia crashing together.

Their only hope lies in the Greater Craymels, powerful elemental spirits that could help prevent the disaster. The journey takes the party across both realms, bringing new characters, discoveries and dangers as they race to save their world.

Combat is a major part of that journey. The Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System lets players unleash Artes, build combos and coordinate attacks with their companions in fast-paced 2D encounters. Success depends on more than simply hitting hard, with positioning, timing and the right combination of abilities helping turn difficult fights in your favour.

A Familiar Adventure With Modern Conveniences

This remaster adds several options designed to make the original experience more comfortable to play today. Destination icons help guide the way, while players can adjust encounter frequency or disable random enemy encounters altogether. A high-speed option during Auto-mode battles also helps speed up fights when you want to keep the story moving.

There’s room for nostalgia, too. The new Graphics Mode and SFX Mode let players switch between remastered presentation and the original visuals and sound effects. Additional features include Battle Retry, Quick Recovery and experience and encounter adjustments through the Boost feature.

For those looking for a tougher challenge, Extreme difficulty is available from the start, while the Unknown difficulty level can be unlocked after completing the game.

Standard Or Deluxe – Which Edition Should You Choose?

The Standard Edition costs £24.99 and includes Tales of Eternia Remastered. The £44.99 Deluxe Edition adds a few extras for players who want more than the main adventure, including Tales of Eternia Remastered, Battle BGM Pack, Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, Super Growth Support Item Set.

With its two-world adventure, real-time combat and new quality-of-life options, Tales of Eternia Remastered offers a chance to revisit a much-loved RPG with greater flexibility. Whether you’re returning to Reid’s journey or discovering it for the first time, the fate of Inferia and Celestia awaits.

Tales of Eternia Remastered is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, with the Standard Edition priced at £24.99 and the Deluxe Edition at £44.99.
