Black Clover Season 2 Premieres on October 3

Weekly Shonen Jump has confirmed that Black Clover Season 2 will premiere on October 3 at 11:00 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo and affiliate channels alongside streaming services Anime Hōdai, Anime Times, Lemino, and U-NEXT in Japan. It was also announced that ONE or EIGHT will perform the ending theme song “Yellow Brick Road.” 

As previously announced, Black Clover Season 2 will stream on Crunchyroll this October. Crunchyroll will preview the anime on September 21 in theaters in the U.S. as part of the Crunchyroll Anime Nights program. 

WANIMA performs the opening theme song “Kienai Riyuu.”

Ayataka Tanemura, the director of episodes 153-170 of Black Clover and the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King film, will direct Season 2. Studio Pierrot will continue to animate the series.

The main cast includes:

• Gakuto Kajiwara as Asta
• Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yuno
• Junichi Suwabe as Yami Sukehiro
• Kana Yuki as Noelle Silva
• Hiro Shimono as Nacht Faust

A total of 170 episodes were released for the Black Clover anime from October 2017 to March 2021. The Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King anime film premiered on June 16, 2023 worldwide.

In August 2023, author Yuki Tabata confirmed the Black Clover manga was leaving Shonen Jump and switching to Jump Giga. The manga would continue to receive manga chapters semi-regularly with hiatuses in-between. The Black Clover series is complete with 392 chapters and available on VIZ Media and Manga Plus in English.
