All confirmed weapons in Modern Warfare 4 so far

Every Call of Duty title is built on key gameplay elements, and weapons are right at the forefront. Weapons can either make or break a game, and in Modern Warfare 4, you’ll have access to 33 guns, launchers, and melee weapons to dispatch your enemies.

While we’ve seen a solid amount of weapons already in Modern Warfare 4, there are quite a few that have never been seen before. Luckily, we’ve rounded up every officially and unofficially revealed gun so far, giving you a complete look at the Modern Warfare 4 weapons list ahead of its release date in October.

All Modern Warfare 4 confirmed weapons

In the multiplayer beta for Modern Warfare 4, there were over 20 weapons available to unlock and use. Of course, this doesn’t leave a lot of room for weapons at launch, given there are only around 33 expected in the game on Oct. 23. However, we already have a solid idea of what the unconfirmed weapons will be thanks to data miners going into the game files and uncovering their names and models.

Below, you can see individual sections for all of the confirmed and unconfirmed weapons that are coming to MW4 multiplayer at launch:

Assault Rifles

• Han 86
• M4
• Hyeon Burst
• Kastov 762
• Patriot XMR
• Axion
• Oden

The Oden is currently the only unconfirmed assault rifle we know of, but it’s been found in the game files, so it appears it’s coming to MW4 at launch. The rest of the ARs were playable in the multiplayer beta.

Submachine Guns

• ISO Nightshade
• PPSh-41
• X-58 Nyx
• WZ.55 Striga
• VEL 46

Currently, the VEL 46 and the WZ.55 Striga are the two unknowns in the SMG category, as neither was available in the beta. However, both are confirmed for MW4 via the game files, and the VEL 46 even has camo models available for it, as seen below.

Shotguns

• Rezi 12
• Warlord

Right now, there are just two shotguns that we know of in MW4, and the Warlord might not even be coming to the game at launch. While it’s in the game files, this could be a Season 1 weapon instead of a launch option. The Rezi 12 is fully confirmed, though.

Light Machine Guns

• FINN
• Type 73

Curiously, there are no other LMGs confirmed for MW4, as no extra LMG is found within the game files. Still, it would be strange to see only two options at launch, so we can likely expect a third LMG in the game.

Marksman Rifles

• MAR-9
• Oris 8.6
• Mosin-Nagant

The Mosin-Nagant is the unconfirmed marksman rifle, but its model has been located in the game files. Once again, though, we can’t confirm if it’s a launch weapon or coming post-launch in Season 1 or beyond.

Sniper Rifles

• KG-7 Vulcan
• Signal .50
• Astaroth .57

The Astaroth .57 has been found in the game files, but it could be a post-launch sniper rifle. The KG-7 Vulcan and Signal 50 are both confirmed for launch.

Pistols

• Karit P68
• .50 GS
• Sang 9mm
• Mojave .357

The Mojave .357 is the only pistol unconfirmed by Activision, but its model is currently in the game files for MW4. Four pistols at launch is fairly normal for Call of Duty, however.

Launchers

• PILA

You can almost certainly bet that an additional launcher is coming to MW4 at launch, but right now, only the PILA is confirmed.

Melee Weapons

• Combat Knife
• Combat Axe

According to the game files, the Combat Axe is a melee weapon coming to MW4. When exactly that is, we don’t know, but Season 1 would make sense.

And that wraps up the list of all the confirmed weapons for Modern Warfare 4. As it stands, we know of 29 total weapons right now, which is four short of the 33 confirmed for the launch of the game. So, we’re still missing some reveals, which will likely occur right before MW4 launches on Oct. 23.
